Let's add two thirds and two fifths

First, find the common denominator. The LCM of 3 and 5 is 15

So we can convert both fractions to denominators of 15. We now have ten 15ths plus six 15ths

Since the denominator is the same, we can just add the numerator. That gives sixteen 15ths

Let's simplify that to 1 and one 15th as our answer
