This dot is on the number line, but not on a whole number. Let's find an improper fraction that best describes where it is.

We are past the first whole, so we have one whole.

But each whole is split up into 6 sixths, and for an improper fraction we are just going to count all the sixths, even though we'll have more than 6 of them.

Our dot is another four sixths of a whole along.

So adding them together, the dot is at ten sixths, which is an improper fraction.
