Pythagoras equation for hypotenuse

Teaching Transcript

🎙️

To solve pythagoras for 'C' is easiest as we already have 'C' isolated.

Let's calculate 4 squared plus 3 squared. That becomes 25

If 'C' squared is 25 then 'C' is the square root of 25

The square root of 25 is 5, so the hypotenuse is length 5

This math skill explains how to find the length of the hypotenuse in a right triangle using the Pythagorean theorem. It involves squaring the lengths of the other two sides, adding these squares together, and taking the square root of this sum to find the hypotenuse.
